Anubis -
This piece is more personal, and is designed to honor Anubis and, to the best of my ability, how I see him. Unlike many portrayal of Anubis, he is not a god of wrath or one to be afraid of. He is the god of knowledge, mummifying, and afterlife. He is fair, comforting, strong.
I felt like it was important to include the mummies, and the scale in which Anubis uses to weigh one's heart against a feather. As well as to include a crowned skeleton, to show that death does not discriminate, and at the end of the day, we're all the same. Him overshadowing the dead is to show how he protects and looks after the afterlife.
